We had an absolutely beautiful day for our tour, very sunny but with a nice cool breeze from the antarctic current. Here are some photos of the winery, where we had a wine-tasting, and the ostrich farm. Our tour guide is actually standing on some ostrich eggs. The wines are much better than in Uruguay and so was the winery. What do you think, Sophie, a little ostrich riding?

Ostrich! Wow, was it comfortable? Did you get to actually ride it? Amazing, all the experiences you are having! What's next on the itinerary?
ReplyDeleteI'm just glad I didn't fall off on my head! Didn't get to ride it but it was comfortable sitting on it.
ReplyDeleteWe went up Table Mountain on the cable car. Fantastic! Will post vids and pics soon. Tonight we leave for Durbin.
I LOVE the picture of the Ostrich Riding, Dad! lol!! Did Mom do it too? I'm sure she wouldn't miss out- but I want to see a picture. :)
ReplyDeleteWe have had more snow and are now completely encased in ICE! Your sunny days and grass look wonderful!
I can't believe the winter you are having. Mom didn't ride the ostrich (surprised me too but she had been feeling a bit queasy). Also her back was sore standing and listening to "Everything you wanted to know about ostriches but forgot to ask".
ReplyDeleteha ha! you must be on your computer same time as me! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is so great to be able to keep in touch with you this way! I love all the pics. So, are you at sea tomorrow?
Wow! I'm not really envying the ostrich riding...=/... haha! But the winery looks beautiful! We just watched a different version of Swiss Family Robison last night(its based off the book, called Stranded) and your ostrich riding makes me think of Earnst on the one that ran away!
ReplyDeleteKeep taking pictures! I love looking at them! (and wishing I could be there with my camera!
love ya guys!

ReplyDeleteHi Sophie -- Uncle Cliff here. We saw that Swiss Family Robinson film last year. My favorite moment was Teddy jumping up with double fist pumps yelling "Nemititi!" when the native man saved them from the pirates.
