day 82, Pirate Drill

We just had our Pirate Drill. Here are some videos.Tomorrow morning, April 5, we head into the Gulf of Oman for one day, "pirate country" (Somalia). There is a British naval officer on board who is liaising with warships in the Red Sea.

    Why do you think you're supposed to be in the hall? Is that safer somehow? Let us know when you're out of the Gulf. We'll be praying for you. Pirates would be pretty stupid to try to attack a ship like the QM2!!

    Well, the pirate drill looks fairly mundane at least, unlike the Intruder Drills the kids do at school where they line up against a wall out of sight of the class door, and they have to be on their knees with their heads down and hands over the backs of their heads for 5 minutes or so. We always pray for your safety at night.

    And it is hard to believe that there are people who've done the world cruise 10 or 12 times!!! How fun that you've met a couple from Canada who are on their first world cruise, too. Are you considering doing it another 10 times? :)

    I am laughing that your dentist went to NYU! That is so funny. God is watching our for you! We will certainly be praying for you as you enter that scary part of the world. How nice to have a resident British naval officer!
