We just returned from Phuket. Had a great time and a wonderful lunch. Some rain. Even rode an elephant! Mom sat on a water buffalo, too!!.

Hi, Mom and Dad--Vietnam looks beautiful. Is it very muggy? I wondered if it was poorer than the other countries you've visited. It was hard to tell from the videos; it certainly seems fairly modern with scooters, etc., although the rice farming didn't look terribly comfortable (but you said that was staged so maybe they aren't always plowing in several feet of water/mud). The embroidery factory did look amazing; can't wait to see the picture you bought.
